Sunday School

Centre Church offers several Sunday morning classes to help grow our walk with Christ. Everyone is welcome!

Topic: “Show Me Jesus”
Led by: Amy Brotherton
Where: Located on the lower level of the Parker Building
Ages: Preschool – 5th Grade
Description: Join us as we learn about worshipping God and all of the joys and duties that entails.

Topic: “Apologetics”
Led by: Daryl Jones, Janie Carpenter
Where: Youth Room (upper level, Faith Building)
Ages: 6th-12th Grade
Description: We will be studying apologetics which means how to defend our faith. It is one thing to study the Bible and learn its teachings and a whole other challenge to take that foundation and be able to defend it. A valuable skill for every Christian, it is never too early to start learning as the world doesn’t hold its tough questions for adulthood.

Young Adult

(Ages 18+/College)

Topic: “The One True God”
Led by: Ted Mikels
Where: Fellowship Hall
Ages: 18+
Description: The Encounter Class will study The True Jesus by David Limbaugh. It is a study that concentrates on the four gospels.

Topic: “Gospel Shaped Worship”
Led by: Jesse Garmon
Where: Lower Level, Faith Building
Ages: 18+
Description: Christians are people who have discovered that the one true object of our worship is the God who has revealed himself in and through Jesus Christ. But what exactly is worship? What should we be doing when we meet together for “church” on Sundays, and how does that connect with what we do the rest of the week?

Using a 7-week study entitled “Gospel Shaped Worship” by Jared Wilson, we will be exploring what it looks like for a church to be a worshipping community.  Each week, we will be discussing what we have learned after watching a short video.  No homework is required for this class, but is optional for those who want to dig deeper throughout the week, and although this class follows a book you don’t have to worry if you can’t attend every Sunday. We’d love for you to come whenever you can!

Topic: “Responding to God’s Grace”
Led by: Sandra Schmidt

Description: The Fellowship class studies lessons that come from Standard Publishers’ Bible Studies. Every three months a different theme is covered (For example, this quarter we are studying “Responding to God’s Grace”). Each week we study a Bible passage that expands on this theme and we also learn good life lessons that can be applied to our daily lives. Our class consists of friendly, caring people, and we welcome anyone to visit us at any time!

Topic: “Tactics”
Led by: Celi Jones
Where: Renewal Room (upper level, Parker Building)
